Pilgrams at Hampi

One of the things that you become accustomed to you as a foreigner traveler in India is to be approached and engaged by curious locals. I happen to love this; in certain other countries in SE Asia, the opposite is the norm. This day I was wandering on Hemataka Hill and a family of women sans daddy was making a pilgrimage to Hampi for a 1/2 day. One of the daughters was good at English and asked to get pictures to commemorate such an auspicious occasion for them. Notice that she was quick to snatch my SF Giants cap and wear it in the 2nd pic. They were all very gregarious and had delightful personalities. Their curiosity was straight-forward and when they discovered that I was American, they gave a quick shout-out to Barack Obama.
