Details, Ninna-ji, Kyoto

One aspect of Ninna-ji Temple (featured in the last post) stood out to me emphatically – the craftsmanship that went into the smaller elements was consistently outstanding. A lot of the following photos were little architectural details found in the monastery portion of the temple. I suppose that since the head monk was historically from the royal family, his abode might be a bit more embellished than what was typical.
