The next leg of my Philippines trip involved moving to the next group of islands to the south of Luzon, the Visayas. This involved taking a flight from Manila to Cebu City, the gateway of the Visayas. Unfortunately, Cebu City is very much like Manila – I don’t have much to share that doesn’t involve bashing. I did visit one of the smaller cultural attractions, the Yap-Sandiego ancestral house, late in the afternoon and snapped a lot of photos since the light was great. It’s a nifty little look at a very different lifestyle of the high society in early PHP history.
