This was the private gallery that housed the exhibition of the previous post. The gallery is a work of art itself. It is located on Dihua Street in Taipei. Dihua Street was a former main street in the old days of Taipei. This street runs near the river. Built in the 1850’s, it became rich on tea import/export after Taiwan’s ports were opened following the 2nd Opium War. It is full of former private mansions and trading stores that have gone through a district-wide renovation during the last decade. It is now a hipster neighborhood (I noticed Evernote’s HQ in a storefront walking along the street) mixed with cool cafes, galleries and the old herb businesses.
